Tuscany Stone Lab is set in nature, with trails, outdoor spaces, a small seasonal pool, and fully equipped areas for art workshops.
Led by sculptor Lorenzo Vignoli (20+ years experience) and Ilaria De Marchi (teacher/educator & art therapist).

Language: programmes in English/Italian, with translation and cultural support available.
Marble Workshops
– Introduction to marble sculpture.
– For longer stays: creation of a small piece.
Clay Workshops
– Introduction to clay modelling (techniques and uses).
– Depending on time: making finished pieces and, when scheduled, kiln firing.
Cultural visits (optional)
– Pietrasanta: city of sculpture, ateliers and art galleries.
– Carrara: historic marble quarries and culture.
Accommodation
– Small groups: lodging in small units.
– Big groups:
– Marble at the Montemagno studio (on-site accommodation available).
– Clay at EMAHOLAB (kilns and beds on site).
– Art-therapy and drawing possible.
– For very large groups, we can help find nearby accommodation.
Partnership
– EMAHOLAB (www.emaholab.it): large clay studio with kilns and beds.
Combined format (example 6–8 days)
– 3/4 days – Clay & firing @ EMAHOLAB: modelling, glazes/engobes, firings.
– 3/4 days – Marble & Painting @ Tuscany Stone Lab: intro to marble sculpture, plein air painting.
Painting can take place at both venues. Optional closing with a small exhibition/display.
Durations & Seasons
1 giorno, 2–3 giorni, 5–7 giorni.
Group Size & Ages
11 to 28 y.o.: 5-8 students for a single project; for bigger numbers we propose to share them in sub-groups having so different options.
1/2 chaperones per class recommended (free during activities).
Logistics & Accommodation
Outdoor and indoor spaces; picnic areas available. Accommodation available for small groups; for larger groups we share activities and help find facilities.
Swimming pool (seasonal): access only under teacher/tutor/chaperone supervision.

Activities are tailored to the age group; any adaptations are agreed with teachers. Quotes on demand based on: duration, number of students, materials, any visits and accommodation.
